Seed phrase management remains one of the biggest blockers for Web3 adoption. Most wallets rely on 12–24 random words, which are difficult to store securely and intimidating for newcomers. Losing them means losing access forever, creating friction that discourages mainstream users.
The Concept
This project explores a new recovery approach: replacing the traditional seed phrase with a simplified alphanumeric recovery key paired with a passcode. The encryption happens seamlessly in the background, giving users the same level of non-custodial security but in a way that’s far easier to manage and remember.
Approach
I focused on streamlining the onboarding experience without compromising trust. When creating a wallet, users instantly receive a short, human-friendly recovery key that is secured with their personal passcode. For advanced users who prefer traditional methods, the option to reveal the full seed phrase is still available. This balance makes the interface approachable for beginners while remaining flexible enough for power users.
By rethinking wallet recovery, this project aims to reduce the barriers to entry for everyday users while maintaining the core values of Web3 security. The result is a wallet concept that feels approachable, intuitive, and adaptable, a step toward making Web3 more accessible to the next wave of adopters.
